Richard Baron
Richard Baron graduated from American University, B.A. in Government and Public Administration, 1967; received his J.D. from University of New York at Buffalo, School of Law, 1970; was admitted New York Bar in 1970 and Florida Bar 1974. He was a trial attorney with The Department of the Treasury from 1970-197, at Greenberg Traurig from 1974-1979, and with Baron and Associates from 1980 to present. Mr. Baron is active in Jewish philanthropy and is a Charter member of Florida Lawyer's Assistant Program. As a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1985, Richard Baron has been a pillar of strength to other addicts and alcoholics since his early recovery. As an experienced trial lawyer, Richard has represented hundreds of clients with drug and alcohol problems on a pro bono basis. He has been appointed numerous times as a Guardian Ad Litem to assist Family Court Judges in difficult cases with alcohol and drug issues, always without compensation. Richard has sponsored hundreds of recovering addicts and alcoholics in the past 20 years and is responsible for helping countless people turn their lives around. Richard is perennial speaker during Red Ribbon Week in Dade County Schools. He is active in Green Peace and in 1981-1983 was the Commissioner from Antigua to the International Whaling Commission and cast the deciding vote that approved the ban on Commercial Whaling. |
