Repeat posterior fossa exploration for patients with persistent or recurrent idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia Repeat PFE for patients with idiopathic TN has facial pain outcomes that are comparable with both percutaneous needle-based techniques and stereotactic radiosurgery. Patients with persistent or recurrent TN should be considered for repeat PFE, especially if other less invasive surgeries have not relieved their facial pain.

Time to Talk is an educational campaign to encourage patients—particularly those age 50 or older—and their health care providers to openly discuss the use of complementary and alternative medicine. When patients tell their providers about their CAM use, they can more effectively manage their health. When providers ask their patients about CAM use, they can ensure that they are fully informed and can help patients make wise health care decisions. Simply put—it's time to talk.

Fentanyl Pain Patch Recalled.  On Tuesday, February 12, 2008, PriCara, the manufacturer of transdermal fentanyl (Duragesic®), announced that supply lots of their 25mcg/hr patches were recalled due to a flaw in the cut of one edge.

Philadelphia artist Linda Lee Alter brings her work to the Allentown Art Museum.
