Research in the area of Neuropathic Facial Pain and Trigeminal |
|
Neuralgia |
Because neuropathic facial pain, including trigeminal neuralgia, is considered a "rare disorder" it is particularly difficult to find adequate money for research. As a result, The Facial Pain Association (formerly The Trigeminal Neuralgia Association) is working with other groups like NORD (National Organization of Rare Disorders) and NIDCR (National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research). TNA continues to monitor the progress of pertinent research initiatives, and advocate for continued resources from the Federal government and private sector. |
