Mark L. Shelton has been a writer, editor and teacher of nonfiction writing at several colleges, universities, and academic medical centers. A native of Chicago, he holds degrees from Western Michigan University and the University of Pittsburgh and his stories, essays, and columns have appeared in a number of magazines, journals, textbooks and anthologies. He is currently the Associate Vice Chancellor for University Relations at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.
